Kick it Up at Jim's Dance Pavilion
Named for Jim’s love for dancing, he can still cut a rug at age 86! Etched in the concrete is the date (1943) of the building, names of family and barn yard animals. Like most dance halls in south Texas, it is a basic structure with little or no flare for building design. It is simply functional, but with lots of character.
Jim’s Dance Pavilion has been a venue to some of south Texas great bands with a dance floor that has had plenty of boot scootin over the past years.
Where else can you dance while viewing the Guadalupe River over your dance partner’s shoulder, under the TEXAS stars?
Complete with outdoor restroom and porch area.
