  • Guadalupe County Fair & Rodeo
    This fair and rodeo is held annually on the second weekend of October. The whole family will enjoy such activities as a parade, BBQ cook-off, the Guadalupe County Fair Queens Contest, music, a 5K run/walk, dancing, contests, an antique tractor race, food, animal exhibits, children's activities, and much more.

Historic Sites & Buildings

  • Sebastopol State Historic Site (circa 1856)
    In the 19th century, Seguin was the center of experimentation with using concrete for houses and public buildings and it became known as the "Mother of Concrete Cities." Today this Greek Revival-style house which sits on 2.2 acres of its original 4-acre site is one of the best surviving examples of early concrete construction in the United States. It is a Registered Texas Historic Landmark and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Its permanent exhibits include family furnishings and archeological artifacts from the site, as well as the building process and restoration of limecrete.

  • Juan Sequin Statue
    Located at the corner of River and Nolte Streets • Seguin, Texas • Central Park
    A larger-than-life statue honoring Juan Seguin, the Tejano patriot who is sometimes called "the Paul Revere of Texas." The handsome bronze sculpture created by Erik Christianson, stands in the lovely Central Park in the heart of the historic downtown.

  • Seguin-Guadalupe County Heritage Museum (circa 1898)
    The Heritage Museum features rotating-themed exhibits regarding the area’s immigrant and ethnic heritages. These pieces come from private collections of photographs, paintings, arts and crafts, and memorabilia. The museum is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on weekends by appointment.
